| Abstract: | Este estudo versa sobre pessoas, coisas e um lugar. Partiu do objetivo inicial de resgatar a coleção do sítio arqueológico Morro da Formiga, que foi escavado na década de 1960 por Eurico Miller. Além disso, visava contribuir com o conhecimento existente acerca da ocupação na região sul do Brasil pelos grupos ceramistas do planalto (identificados na arqueologia como Tradição Taquara). Isto foi feito através da realização de uma análise em micro-escala, representada pelo exame dos vestígios líticos e cerâmicos encontrados neste local. A pesquisa foi orientada de um modo geral no sentido de compreender a arqueologia enquanto uma forma de produção do conhecimento sobre o passado no presente, na qual o investigador desenvolve uma prática interpretativa. Na busca pelos significados atribuídos às coisas pelas pessoas, foram considerados os contextos de criação e de consumo dos objetos. Ao procurar entender como os indivíduos experimentaram o lugar que habitaram, a partir de uma análise espacial intra-sítio, as atividades realizadas em seu interior foram avaliadas. Como resultado, foi elaborado discurso arqueológico, uma forma de escrever e contar aspectos de um passado a partir de um olhar no presente.
This study is about people, things and a place. It has began from the initial aim of studying the archaeological collection of the Morro da Formiga site, which was excavated in the 60s by Eurico Miller. Therefore, the goal was to contribute to the existent knowledge about the occupation of the southern region of Brazil by ceramist groups of the highlands (identified in archaeology as Taquara Tradition). This was made through a micro scale analysis, represented by the study of the lithic and ceramic remains found in this place. In a general way, the research was conducted to understand archaeology as a mean of production of knowledge about the past in the present, through which the researcher develops an interpretative practice. In the search for meanings attributed to things by people, the contexts of creation and consumption of the objects were considered. By trying to understand how the individuals experimented the place where they lived, through an intra-site spatial analysis, the activities that happened in its interior were evaluated. As a result, an archaeological discourse, a way of writing and telling aspects of a past from a look from the present was elaborate. |
