| Abstract: | A presente dissertação de Mestrado é composta por dois estudos, seguindo as normas do programa de Pós-Graduação em Psicologia da PUCRS. O primeiro estudo é uma revisão de literatura intitulada Características da clientela infantil em clínicas-escola: Revisão da literatura ao longo do tempo, que teve como objetivo geral pesquisar artigos publicados sobre caracterização da clientela na população infantil em clínicas-escola, no Brasil. Foram encontrados 31 artigos. Para isto foi realizada uma busca nas bases de dados Bvs, Indexpsi, Lilacs, Pepsic e Scielo, a partir dos descritores clínicas-escola, caracterização da clientela, psicoterapia infantil e nas bibliotecas da PUCRS e UFRGS. A partir deste levantamento, as variáveis: sexo, idade, encaminhamento e queixas, que os artigos abordaram, foram analisadas e categorizadas em um grande quadro resumo. Desta forma, as conclusões e as contribuições de cada artigo foram examinadas, verificando se existiam modificações nestas questões, ao longo do tempo, na literatura brasileira. Concluiu-se com este estudo, que existe um perfil da clientela infantil que busca psicoterapia em clínica-escola e que não houve modificações significativas ao longo do tempo, na literatura: são meninos, na faixa etária de seis a nove anos, apresentando queixas de comportamento e aprendizagem. Os resultados empíricos não apresentam evidências com base em rigorosa análise estatísticas e poucos trazem estratégias de mudança efetivas. O segundo estudo, Caracterização da clientela infantil em clínica-escola: As queixas mudaram em 30 anos?, teve como objetivo geral identificar as diferenças entre queixas atuais e passadas na busca de atendimento psicoterapêutico para crianças, ao longo de três décadas.Para isto, identificou-se as características da clientela infantil que procurou por atendimento psicológico em duas clínicas-escola em Porto Alegre em relação às seguintes variáveis: sexo, faixa etária, escolaridade, fonte de encaminhamento para psicoterapia e as queixas desta clientela. Por último, verificou-se a relação entre estas variáveis. Os resultados encontrados indicam que em 30 anos observa-se que existe um padrão na população infantil e não houve mudança significativa nos motivos que trazem a criança a tratamento. Conhecer este perfil possibilita a melhora dos atendimentos em clínica-escola e a implantação de projetos de prevenção.
The present Master’s dissertation is composed of two studies, following the norms of the Graduate Program of Psychology of PUCRS. The first study consists of a literature review titled Characteristics of child treatments in school clinics: a literature review, whose general objective is to survey published articles about the characterization of the children population treated in school clinics in Brazil. Thirty one articles were found. The search was conducted in Bvs, Indexpsi, Lilacs, Pepsic and Scielo data bases in PUCRS’ and UFRGS’ libraries, using the following descriptors: school clinic, child characterization and child psychotherapy. The variables sex, age, forwarding and complaints treated in the articles were analyzed and categorized. The conclusions and contributions of each article were examined and verified for changes that might have occurred through time. The study concluded that there is a characteristic pattern for children that seek psychotherapeutic treatment in school clinics and that this pattern has not changed in the thirty-year period covered by the survey, namely: boys, age bracket from six to nine years old, presenting complaints related to behavioral and learning problems. The empirical results do not present evidences based on rigorous statistical analysis and few bring about strategies for effective changes. The second study, Characterization of child treatments in school clinics: have the complaints changed in 30 years?, had as objective to identify the differences among current and passed complaints that motivated the search for psychotherapeutic help for the children through three decades. In this vein, the characteristics of the children clientele for psychological treatment in two school clinics in Porto Alegre were identified in relation to the following variables: sex, age bracket, schooling, source of forwarding for treatment and the complaints. The relations among these variables were also examined.The results found indicate that in 30 years a pattern is observable in the population of treated children and that no significant changes occurred in the motivations that led to the seeking of treatment. Knowledge about this pattern allows for treatments improvements in school-clinics as well as for the implementation of prevention projects. |
