Novela literária: criação, teoria e percurso

Abstract

Esta dissertação está inserida no contexto da área de Escrita Criativa e é dividida em duas partes: um trabalho teórico e um work in progress de uma narrativa de ficção. Na pimeira parte, apresento um panorama das principais teorias que tentam explicar os dispositivos, o propósito narrativo e os diversos poderes afetivos que caracterizam a novela moderna. Na segunda parte, apresento uma novela inédita na condição de segundo tratamento, uma etapa de um processo que busca a versão definitiva da obra literária. Depois de apresentada a novela, faço uma reflexão sobre o meu percurso criativo, como um adendo ao texto ficcional.

This dissertation is presented within the context of a Creative Writing program and is divided in to two parts: a theoretical work and a work in progress of a fictional narrative. In the first part, I present a panorama of the main theories that try to explain the devices, the narrative purpose and the diverse affective powers that characterize the modern novella. In the second part, I present an unpublished novella as a second draft, a stage of a process that seeks the literary work definitive version. After presenting the novella, I reflect on my creative process, as an addendum to the fictional text.
