As imagens simbólicas de crianças com o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA): um olhar sobre as fotografias do projeto Spectrum Inspired

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo compreender as imagens simbólicas de crianças com o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) a partir das fotografias do projeto Spectrum Inspired. Para tanto, serão trabalhados os conceitos de imprinting cultural e normalidade, a criança “normal”, as dinâmicas de inclusão e exclusão e o Transtorno do Espectro Autista, bem como fotografia e a imagem simbólica, de acordo com Hans Belting. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados são Pesquisa Bibliográfica e Análise de Conteúdo (Bardin, 1977) que permitiram o levantamento de 1377 fotografias do projeto e sua subsequente organização em grupos e análise, além de uma experiência de ensaio fotográfico piloto feito pela autora. Como principal resultado, identificou-se duas imagens simbólicas hegemônicas: a criança com a família e a criança sozinha.

This work aims to understand the symbolic images of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from the photographs of the Spectrum Inspired project. For that, the concepts of cultural imprinting and normality, the “normal” child, the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion and the Autistic Spectrum Disorder, as well as photography and symbolic image, will be worked on, according to Hans Belting. The methodological procedures used are Bibliographic Research and Content Analysis (Bardin, 1977) which allowed the survey of 1377 photographs of the project and their subsequent organization in groups and analysis, in addition to a pilot photo essay experiment done by the author. As a main result, two hegemonic symbolic images were identified: the child with the family and the child alone.
